The Fiber Optic Academy announces new, Senior FOA Certified Instructor, Mr. Tom Dowdy. 

 

August 10, 2023: Tom joins TFOA with an Associate of Applied Science in Electronics Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.  He later joined with General Dynamics Ft. Worth, TX as an Electronics Technician where he was involved in numerous LAN installations for them.

 

He later joined GTE Telecommunications where he managed the Fiber Backbone from Sacramento to Denver. He was with GTE for over 30 years. In addition to managing the fiber optics backbone for GTE, Tom taught Fiber to their Engineers in the early 1990s.

 

Tom has been a Contract Consultant to major Telco providers throughout the years and, beginning in 2008, taught multiple FOA Fiber courses for the largest FOA approved Fiber Optics Technician School in the USA all across the USA.

 

The Fiber Optic Academy is a Donaldson, Arkansas based, FOA Sanctioned, fiber optics network training company providing professional training throughout the United States.
