With almost 30 years in the technology industry, Steven began his career in technology in 1994, where he served in the United States Air Force/Air Nation Guard in communications.  While serving in the USAF/ANG, he continued his career as a help-desk technician for the United States Postal Service in the state of Arkansas.   In January 2004 Steven went on to serve as Network Administrator at Arkansas School for Mathematics, Science & Arts.

That same year he began working alongside his father as Senior Network Engineer, helping to expand the State of Arkansas LAN & WAN connectivity.  His teaching career began as an adjunct professor at the College of the Ouachitas before joining a FOA approved fiber optics training company in December of 2015. In January of 2019 Steven opened his own training camp and began teaching Outside Plant Fiber & Copper on his family farm.

Over the years Steven has partnered with vendors such as Verizon SBC & AT&T on various FTTx projects working as a field support engineer, installing thousands of miles of fiber.
Currently he manages Ervin Cable Construction Splicing department installing the nations 2nd largest FTTH network in Arkansas. He is an avid outdoorsman and currently resides in Social Hill, Arkansas with his family.
